Pete Mallinger's spiritual journey began on May 12, 1975, when he accepted the Lord in San Diego, California. In June 1976, he was invited to teach a Bible study in El Centro, California, leading to the establishment of their first Sunday morning service in January 1977. Since then, Pete has served as the senior pastor of the same church.
In El Centro, Pete met his wife Marci, his partner in life and ministry. They have three children and four grandchildren. A pivotal moment came when they discovered that one of their children had dyslexia, a condition Pete also has. This inspired them to pursue further education, with Pete earning two master's degrees from Azusa Pacific University.
Pete's experience with dyslexia has become a powerful tool in his ministry. He uses his journey to inspire and support children with learning disabilities, encouraging them to achieve beyond their perceived limitations. Viewing his dyslexia through the lens of Romans 8:28, Pete now considers it a blessing that enables him to connect with and assist others facing similar challenges.
Pete's story exemplifies how personal challenges can be transformed into opportunities for growth, service, and positive change in others' lives.
